food & drink
If you are a vegetarian, you sure gonna have hard time in US..unless you decide to do cooking all the time or restrict to the saravana bhavan nearby..options are pretty rare for them..
(why am i concerned abt veggies..see we went for this trip for 4 days to LA/LV..4 of us..all veggie except me..and there is no saravana bhavan at the places we went..poor folks..they had the some veggie burger all 3 times and all 4 days..)
And for the drinkards, life is heaven in US..you go to a supermarket..chances are there is more shelf space for wine/champagne than vegetables :-)
Fortunately, I'm on the sweet spot.. I eat anything as long as they are cooked and tastes ok and i drink (often heavily)..often i order some stuff without fully understanding what it is and delightfully feast upon it, still not knowing whats in it..and the americans here have wrong opinion about indians..they think all indians are veggie by default and that i'm odd man out (especially when i eat that beef..it seems beef is forbidden for hindus and they know it and not me..huh)..no need to explain the drinks part..i make regular visit to the supar market nearby :-)
En jon udambirkku vayirre pradhanam..(stomach is the prime and important organ in the body)..u see..
